Golden Abyss Dev Working On New Syphon Filter?

According to Sillegamer, in the latest November issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine the team reveals that a new instalment in the Syphon Filter franchise is inbound:

SCE Bend is currently hard at work on Uncharted: Golden Abyss, but its hush-hush Vita project is a return to Syphon Filter.

There has been no official word on the long-time PlayStation flagship series, though earlier rumours have suggested that 2012 will produce two Syphon Filter games, one for the Sony’s latest handheld and a fully-fledged sequel for the PlayStation 3.

As always Sony is unlikely to comment on mere speculation, though we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled leading towards the end of the year for a full-blown announcement.

    • Nofi, are you serious?
You’re always going on about Mario and Zelda, but you make that comment?

    • Plenty of original ideas on the PSV and the PSN, I dunno why you are upset at Sony’s willingness to continue a great franchise.

  2. I actually really, really want a new syphon, but on the PS3 rather than the V… *gags*
    …NGP.

    • My moneys of a double PS3/Vita pack, same as that RPG, so you can play on the move as well as on PS3.

  3. Do it Sony, You know you want too!

  4. Love syphon filter, should hit ps3 first though….

  5. Syphon Filter was my first shooter, and the PSP games are great, so do it!
One more quality game available isn’t exactly going to do harm, is it?

  6. I wouldn’t mind. The PSP games were great.
