Xbox gamers are reporting that Gears Of War 3 is freezing their consoles when they try and load a split screen Horde game.
The problem seems to be limited to when gamers try to use two profiles for the split screen mode and when the bug occurs it permanently alters one of the profiles making it impossible to enter any game mode.
Epic seem to be aware of the problem and have posted a questionnaire on their forums. As you may imagine Gears fans are rather miffed and the bug thread has 186 pages of comments.
Until the problem is solved we would suggest avoid playing the split screen Horde mode.

I’ve played Horde split-screen with two profiles logged in and not had this problem. Guess it doesn’t happen all the time which is probably why it wasn’t caught in testing.
