Xbox gamers are reporting that Gears Of War 3 is freezing their consoles when they try and load a split screen Horde game.
The problem seems to be limited to when gamers try to use two profiles for the split screen mode and when the bug occurs it permanently alters one of the profiles making it impossible to enter any game mode.
Epic seem to be aware of the problem and have posted a questionnaire on their forums. As you may imagine Gears fans are rather miffed and the bug thread has 186 pages of comments.
Until the problem is solved we would suggest avoid playing the split screen Horde mode.

My younger brother and I have played many splitscreen, multi-account, online and offline Horde games with zero issues. Peculiar.

We had a freeze on co’op campaign the other night. It seems the host machine froze and we were all left looking at a black screen (although we had sound)
Quick hard reset for the host and we were back :)

anyway, that sounds like a pretty serious bug, not just preventing you from playing the co-op but actually messing with your profile.
a temporary outage is one thing, but when it starts altering or messing with saves or accounts it gets a whole lot more serious.

Hm not had this,good luck to their forum mods because it’s an absolute sht fight at the moment on there.Can’t see another shooter bettering Gears pre xmas for me,awesome package.
