So the big trailer has finally landed. Rockstar has always known how to make a good teaser and this one for GTAV is no exception. It gives away little snippets, sets the mood and is packed with nice little nods to things from past GTA titles.
So, we’ve noticed a couple of things, like the jetski being a “Speedophile 2000”, that are pure GTA but we want to know what you’ve spotted? Any funny little sight gags flick past that you want to point out? Was that Tommy Vercetti with a new voice (did Ray Liotta turn down a role reprisal?)
We also noticed several recurring themes – aeroplanes, exercise, homeless people – and a nice mix of enthnicities which could hint at some of the gangs we’ll see. We also thought we spotted a homeless guy begging who looks suspiciously like Niko Bellic from GTAIV and is that CJ running from the cops at the end?

also, at 1min and 1 second, when the jet flies by, if you pause it, almost certain its the after burner firing and also what looks like machine guns on the wings

When GTA IV was released the question was asked why wasn’t it called ‘GTA New York’ (following on from Vice City, San Andreas & LC stories). Someone in Rockstar gave the answer that excluding GTA2 they wanted to give a number only to the games that do something completely different to the last games. GTA3 was in 3D, GTA IV was more dark and gritty compared to the other games. With this being called number 5 and not GTA California I hoping for BIG things to come from it

Looks ok. Lets hope Rockstar don’t mess PS3 owners about this time with any DLC going to the xBox360 1st or i won’t be buying it.

I hope that guy is Tommy Vercetti, but i don’t think so and i think that guy looks nothing like CJ and he would be older he would be in his late 30’s – 40’s, now. The IGN article that is all about that person possibly being Tommy V, is annoying they claim that in the Vice City trailer there is a blue sports car and a red one and there is the same in this trailer, so it hints that, that man is Tommy V, which is RIDICULOUS! It might be him but that is a stupid claim to make.

Jets feature heavily because maybe you can fly to other locations, maybe to Miami (Vice City) or even Liberty City
Multiple protagonists?
graphically the game is said to use the RDR version of the RAGE engine, so things should be very swish indeed.

I’m so glad my PS3 died. I now have a refurbed 60gb. Vice City and San An here I come.
I want this to be good but I felt let down by 4 so we’ll see. It has to be FUN again.
