Thieves In Time Will Feature Sly’s Ancestors

Sanzaru Games, the same studio who developed the beautiful HD Classics Sly Trilogy, has given fans another brief glimpse into the franchise’s fourth instalment, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. As the title clearly indicates, Sly and the gang will be flitting back and forth between the past and present, enabling him to visit a number of his pilfering ancestors, some of which featured briefly in the original game, granting Sly bonus powers.

One such infamous Cooper Clan relative is ninja master Rioichi Cooper. Not only will you be able to interact with ancestors, Sanzaru has also revealed that they will be playable, each with their own unique powers.

  1. Can’t wait for this game!

  2. Is anyone else as excited for this as me? I never played Sly on PS2 but did enjoy the collection. I really can’t wait for a new Sly. One of the best platformers in my opinion.

    • Probably my wife. :D She loves the games and we’ll no doubt be picking this up.

  3. Cool, interested in this, yet to finish the trilogy. Loved the first back in the day on PS2, never had a chance to play 2 or 3 through though. Hopefully this will be good.

  4. Cool, I must remember to pick up the HD Collection; I had a lot of fun with Sly on the PS2.

This looks pretty good I guess but I’m not going to start getting excited until I see some positive reviews, I remember how Jak: The Lost Frontier turned out without Naughty Dog at the helm and there’s no guarantees that won’t happen here.

  5. Correct. The game looks great but I would like to know how much input Sucker Punch have in this. Saying that, Sanzaru know the games inside out now so I’m sure they know what the Sly experience is all about.

  6. 2012 is shaping up very nicely. looking forward to this game!

  7. This is quickly becoming a pre-order, day one, book some time off work to play it game.
