Mass Effect 3 Developers Discuss New Combat Tools

BioWare’s weekly video cast ‘BioWare Pulse’ saw another episode release this week and it brought forth some interesting info straight from the developers about what the combat looks like in Mass Effect 3.

Some of the combat options and equipment will obviously be the same as Mass Effect 2 but BioWare is hard at work adding a load of new features and abilities.

The video actually opens by talking about the Collector’s Edition of Mass Effect 3 but as you might remember, we brought you the lowdown on that last week. To get straight to the combat stuff, move to around the 1:40 mark of the video.

  1. Looks pretty good. I’m still pretty confident that ME3 will turn out great. :)

    • Yeah I’m hoping it will be.

If I’m honest, as long as they do justice to the end of the story I’ll love it no matter what it plays like. I never really played ME for the gameplay anyway – although if they have made it a bit more enjoyable than ME2 I will of course be ecstatic.

  2. Man all this talk of ME3 makes me wanna play ME2 again, I think I will just do that after I complete Saint’s Row the Third.

    Cannot wait for ME3!

  3. Looks good. I hope that the combat will offer multiple ways to approach it. For example, An inflitrator Shephard can order his squad mates to distract the enemies so that he can sneak around them then stab them in the back. As in ME2, it seemed to try and force players to take cover, shoot and repeat with a bit of powers thrown in.

I’ve just started playing ME2 again just noticed that they could have called the collector’s edition for ME3 the Reaper’s edition as i think they did do a Collector’s edition for ME2 which was named after the Collectors. :)

I wonder if we would be able to tell the squad to stay put so that they can ambush the enemy in ME3? I think ME3 has just gone back up to my pay a lot of interest to it list. :D

  4. Hmmmm, combat tools, that reminds me, Jason Miller is fighting Michael Bisping this weekend
