It’s not the biggest Store update today but it has got a couple of gems in there to keep you gaming until Santa empties his sack in your front room.
Stranger’s Wrath in HD is probably the biggest news, scoring a fantastic 9/10 in our recent review. The HD rereleases of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus also make an appearance as downloads and are well worth your time (and cash, if you can’t find them cheaper in store).
We also see the arrival of the Batman: Arkham City Skins pack for those of us who didn’t pre-order the game to prance about dressed in one of the Dark Knight’s many other costumes.

Supercar Challenge at a tenner is quite good. Certainly more SIM than arcade but still good fun. Lots of unlocks, looks decent and runs at 1080p too iirc. Tracks are good, car models aren’t GT5 but ok. Might even buy it again!

Indeed, I remember when it was released and everyone was saying how much System 3 had improved gameplay over their previous racer outing..Ferrari challenge. I enjoyed the game, still have the original in fact, I was shocked at the game having a 40 page instruction manual inside the box…. in the same translation {:O

Yea i really like their racers too, any fan of GT5 would really enjoy it . Its handling is immense and the tracks too , if it had the graphics (or huge budget!) it would be a real contender.

This. Very much this! Sony promised a while back to competitively price all first party content they could after numerous complaints about the pricing of third party content on the DD side of things. ICO/SOTC is priced below current retail afaik and people should buy it to show support of this commitment by Sony.

£22.99 is the cheapest I’ve seen online, probably around £30 in shops.
Fantastic of Sony to lead the way on this… I wonder how a) it works out for them b) how their distribution partners in retail feel about being undercut by a tenner.
Hopefully this is the way forward as its obvious to customers that there is less value in something that doesn’t physically exist & also has no resale value.
We’re probably some way off 3rd parties seeing sense especially as prices aren’t just dearer than physical they’re often massively more expensive than X360 versions, with the chance that the way the networks are funded to blame.
