I thought we could have a look at the whole top 40 today, as it’s quite interesting to see what’s going on at the lower end of  the chart.

Number 38 finds Sega’s Binary Domain floundering badly and way down at number 22 is the previous chart topper, Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning.  Sega will be upset over the poor performance of Binary Domain, it’s barely tickled the charts since release.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception makes a surprising appearance at number 19, whilst Rayman: Origins sits three places above it, no doubt benefiting from its price being slashed in every major retailer.

THQ brawler UFC Undisputed punches in at number 6 whilst last weeks number one, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, drops to number four. It will be interesting to find out how many Vita hardware units have been sold this week.

EA may well be feeling a little disappointed with some of their games, with Syndicate just missing out on the top ten by one place, and the PlayStation Vita version of FIFA falling to number 8. Of course it’s not all that bad for them though, as they’ve managed to grab the number two spot with the home console version of FIFA and have also secured themselves the coveted number one slot.

That’s right, sitting at the top spot – and no doubt just itching to slide all the way down to the bottom performing tricks as it does so – is snowboard ’em up, SSX.

  1. What the blinking hell is RAGE doing there!

    • Well it is on sale at GAME and cheap elsewhere, so perhaps people picked it up as it was cheap?

      • Yep, the Anarchy Edition was on Game.co.uk for £13, and with that £5 voucher for the Mass Effect 3 preorder cancellation, at £8 it was hard to refuse.

  2. I wonder did Golden Abyss fuel increased sales of Drake’s Deception?

    And wait…
Binary Domain is out? SEGA, learn to market.
Not that I could afford anything after my Vita expenditures, but still…

  3. The Jak collection kinda bombed at retail didn’t it?

    • I hope it didn’t do too badly…

      • There’s always PSN sales! :)

      • I was thinking that too. I really hope the PSN versions made a decent amount

  4. Rayman Vita got moved from the top 10 quick dam!! ME3 will be top by friday or next week.

Shame am buying it download on psn (SEN) dam u GAME, I bet the game will cost way more than in store.

  5. Played SSX the other day. Hated it.

    • You’re not the only one.

      • I loved it! Yet to buy it, only tried the demo, but at the end of the month I’m gonna pick it up, awesome fun.

    • I’m quite enjoying it.

It’s not as good as the originals as it’s simply too easy to land huge tricks with more of an emphasis on building combos, and the tracks aren’t as memorable and suffering from overcomplication which a lot of sequels / reboots have done this generation. But I’m still finding it a lot of fun nonetheless.

    • Yep, I thought it was crap.

      • I wasn’t convinced either, kinda disappointed though as everything about it looked good, just didn’t enjoy the demo at all.

  6. Are there only 2 Vita games in the top 40? Or is Raymen the Vita version. Either way, 3 games in the top 40 is not a good sign.

    • Surely those who just spent hundreds on Vita, memory and games aren’t going to be at it again the next week?

    • What I was thinking. And obviously you’d hope not everyone who is gonna buy a Vita bought it in week 1.

    • Well, I’d hope that too, but I’d also expect the second week of a console launch to be pretty low.
If you’re going to invest at launch prices, you’re going to be willing to buy it at launch day in the majority of cases. Why wait the week?

  7. Skate 3 is in the chart! How long has that been out now, 2 years? I’m guessing it’s heavily discounted at the moment.

    • It is pretty cheap, but has been for ages. It just has a HUGE cult following and online community. Can’t believe there isn’t gonna be a Skate 4 any time soon.

  8. “SEX Is Number One” That’s what she said :D Oh sorry SSX, Oooops;)

    • *facepalm*
I’m making a habit of this with your comments. Please, just, be mature for once. (Yes, I know how ironic it is considering how immature my facepalms and burping on podcasts are, but meh!).

    • What game chart are you looking at!? As all i see is SXX at number one. Are you looking at the video game porn charts again?

      • I don’t know about you, but I actually see SSX at number 1. :P

    • Jboo can’t how many times as it trolled?

  9. I forgot about SSX. Gotta dash to GAME before they shut down!

    • Good shout, closing down sale anyone?

  10. Rayman still hanging in there.
On a completely different note: I just saw a FIFA Street trailer on Youtube and as a long time FIFA avoider I actually liked what I saw and was hoping to see “coming for Vita” at the end but was disappointed. Does anyone know if they have a plan to release Street for the Vita?
