Evolution Hiring For Next MotorStorm Game?

Thankfully, it looks like the devastating earthquake that affected the launch MotorStorm Apocalypse (and no doubt sales figures) hasn’t stopped Evolution from planning ahead for their next game which, if two recent job postings are indicative, looks like another MotorStorm game.

Picked up by PSLS, over on the PlayStation Jobs site the Runcorn-based studio is looking for an Applied Physics programmer and a Graphics Technology programmer, both of which require C++.

Between them the job specs mention vehicle dynamics, rigid body physics, soft body physics, constrains, destruction, character ragdolls, character inverse kinematics, fluid dynamics, aerodynamics and cloth simulation, all of which tie in nicely with previous MotorStorm games but suggest that the next game is pushing ahead in terms of technology.

Next-gen then?  Perhaps.

Sony are yet to announce a new MotorStorm game after the previous Vita and PS3 game – MotorStorm: RC – met critical acclaim.

  1. Although I’m not ready for the next gen for about another 2 years. I hope this is the early planning for a PS4 launch game.

Another small PSN release (like MS:RC) would be nice. Just to tide us over :)

  2. I’m an avid racer that is motorstormer on joban123 web site I’m rated 15th in the world on speed weekend I was excited when msa was announced even bought two copies 120 bucks wasted, played it off and on grew to hate it worse each time I played it after the demise of pacific rift. I finely started playing it about two months ago under the name of howiethetourtle first off the scoring is set up for a little kid so he dosen’t feel bad when he gets beat, secondly the server is worse than old server on mpr. And finely I’m 69 and most everyone that races on a regulier basis is 26 years or older so no matter what format they use they need to focus on that age group. MSA SUCKS any way you look at it
