“Cybernetic, Ninja Warfare like you’ve never seen it before” – that’s what Konami’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is all about. Set nearly a decade after MGS 4, this is massively different from any preview Metal Gear title, although it does look fantastic.

and i’m pretty sure i’ve seen it before.

Yeah I’m sure you’re right about the prequel thing, I guess things have changed a bit. I hope there’s a bit more stealth involved in the game and they’re just not showing it because it looks boring in a trailer. Ninjas are supposed to be stealthy aren’t they? I like the look of this more from this trailer than the last one but the colours and textures still don’t look quite right for an MGS game.

This looks terrible cheesy, but if i try to forget thats it’s supposed to be related to metal gear solid somehow i guess it doesn’t look so bad. might rent it

music was good but then i do love DM but as for the gameplay looks like i have already played it a thousand times.

So much for it filling the gap between 2 and 4. Raiden retired at the end of 4 and had his cybernetic parts removed. I’m sure he planned to live out the rest of his days with his family so why would he go through the pain of getting turned into the cyborg ninja again?
Gameplay looks like it could be good but i can’t get past the fact that this is a MG game. But i may pick it up with it is £20 or less provided it is decent. Also, the wrong at the end reminds me of Dr Cox’s wrong from Scrubs.

In the trailer it alluded to a family being murdered…? I also think his cyborg parts were more recoloured to look more normal.

ALl stealth seems to have gone out of the window. When playing this i’ll just have to pretend it’s not a Metal Gear game or has anything in relation to the franchise.
