Building excitement and momentum for the upcoming launch of the Wii U we knew was the primary purpose Nintendo’s main E3 conference. Â Having talked about the Wii U’s general capabilities on Sunday and with their main 3DS presentation coming up tomorrow their E3 stage was clear for lots of Wii U software and that’s what they delivered.
We knew (Wii nU?) Pikmin 3 was coming but that didn’t stop us being impressed by just how good it looked:
Then it was time for a refresher of the features of the Wii U GamePad:
Another new Nintendo console, another Super Mario Bros. game. Â No matter what you might think about Nintendo reusing (Wii Using? Okay, no more) existing games you can’t deny they do keep delivering quality game play while continually adding new features.
The Wii U will need strong 3rd party support and the first featured game was Batman: Arkham City: Armoured Edition. Â If you have already played the game on other consoles will it offer enough new content to tempt you back again?
Create, share, play (sound familiar?) with Scribblenauts Unlimited.
Next it was sizzle reel time showing off many 1st and 3rd party Wii U titles. Â Anything here particularly to your fancy?
Don’t worry your existing Wii Balance Board will work fine with Wii Fit U:
Every console needs a karaoke game and with the lyrics on GamePad you can face your audience while playing SiNG (working title) and get them to dance along.

Now time for the least undercover undercover game ever, LEGO City Undercover:
Ubisoft continued making their E3 presence felt in everyone else’s conferences. Â First up was Just Dance 4:
Despite having an appalling name ZombiU‘s game play looks pretty good:
We’ll skip the re-run of the trailers we saw in Ubisoft’s own conference yesterday and there is as yet no video of the closing game from Nintendo, Nintendoland, so that’s all folks.

Trailers are probably the best way to watch it, that way you can avoid the awful presentation & awkward staged conversations. Reggie would present the biggest announcement ever like he was presenting a 20% drop in sales to his fellow board-members.

The Wii U looks kinda lame tbh, it only has a 3 core CPU and a unknown AMD Radeon GPU, I doubt it will have the graphic capability of the PS3.
Sympozium
Maybe it would be less powerful but it will have exclusives that will be unique from Xbox or PS3, just hope that casual games don’t ruin it again or even a drought.

That was a neat and efficient way of catching up… however I guess I missed out on Reggie’s unique style…

Rayman Legends is the only reason I’m considering a WiiU at the moment.
Would need to be cheap though- I want to buy a new laptop and phone this year.
Klart
Is it exclusive for the Wii U?
Sympozium
Probably not it was rumoured for Vita and other things.
Klart
Can’t say I’m convinced. I’ll stick to the Playstation brand.
SteveShd
Buy a Wii U? Maybe…. (but probably not)

Looks a fantastic console, and that Wii U controller is doing what the Vita should have done in conjuction with the PS3 from day one!!
Bravo Ninty

the lego city game looks pretty good.
it’s probably about as close as we’re ever gonna get to seeing a lego gta game.
i was hoping to see the aliens game though, and not just because i had it in the e3 bingo.
i wanted to see the motion tracker.
zombi u looks cool too, and it’s set in london,
wipe out the zombie hordes on the streets our our capital. ^_^
