With yesterday’s UK holiday, the charts were slightly delayed. They’ve just gone up with UKIE though and it’s a mild surprise at the top. Sleeping Dogs has held the top spot from THQ’s Darksiders II in spite of a 15 per cent drop in sales. Darksiders II has done better than its predecessor, though, building on the first game’s first week sales with a massive 80 per cent increase.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron lands at number 5, with New Super Mario Bros 2 holding on to 3rd spot and the official London Olympics game at number 4. Ghost Recon Future Soldier also hangs on quite high up, showing that retail promotions and price cuts can offer significant sales bumps.

I’m happy with this. Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders 2 are two of the best games I’ve played all year. Glad to see both are getting plenty of attention at the moment :-)

I really can’t get away from Sleeping Dogs – Everytime i try to do something else,. it just pulls me back in! Brilliant game.
Darksiders seems ok thus far too, but i have only reached Thane so far (& got my a** handed to me quite a few times!), so i can’t really judge properly yet. Liked what i have seen so far though.

Forrest, i’m at the end of darksiders 2(14 hours so far) and i must say it’s a truly fantastic game. I have yet to get sleeping dogs but from what i’ve seen and heard, it looks great.

Aye :) The fact I replayed the demo three times in row suggests how much I enjoyed that game lol.
With Darksiders 2 I’d come back to Thane to be honest. The man is a powerhouse until you have levelled a bit. Besides he gives you a few quests to complete after you have defeated him but you need to be level 20ish in order to complete them. No rush :-)
@Wolf – I assume you have been sticking to the main storyline? Either that or you are a lot better at that game than I am! :D I’ve clocked 15hours so far and have only just defeated the arena champion in the second area lol.

I meant 17 hours(don’t no where the 14 came from) i have collected all the book of the dead pages and relics .Now moving on the stones…..sigh…. so many collectables.

Sleeping Dogs is brilliant, im really enjoying it, and the combat is just so good. Oh, and the soundtrack is the best i’ve heard for an open world game.

It’s been 21 months and Blops is still lurking around in the top 20, wow, people must be really sad that they have to “practice” for Blops. LAME!

Actually, “still lurking around in the top 20” would indicate that it has been there all along, when it has not. It did drop out of the top 20 (although i don’t know to what number) but has seen an re-emergence since the announcement of Blops 2.
& i doubt that hardcore CoD fans need practice – They are probably just killing some time before the new game is released.

This doesn’t make sense Awayze. You say people are sad that they have to ‘practice’ for Black Ops? This doesn’t really have much to do wih this chart. People buying the game now won’t be the ones ‘practicing’. The gamers ‘practicing’ Black Ops are the guys who bought the game on release and are still hammering it now. Gamers buying the game now are probably psyched for Black Ops 2 or want to understand the story, also factor in the impressive zombie game mode and its not hard to see why its a regular in the top 20.

The game could have easily lived up to any hype, but there wasn’t really any around to speak of, it just casually arrived on the scene!

I will get Sleeping Dogs late on… say a month or so.
I have completed Darksiders II around 25hrs it took me. Just need to find the bloody collectibles.
Currently playing Transformers Multiplayer clocked in 25hrs lol
