In a move that’ll hopefully be backed up with some promotion from PlayStation (at the time of writing there’s not a single mention of it on any of the official channels, frustratingly) PlayStation Mobile is now live across Vita and Android.

The games are available from the normal PSN Store on Vita – if you can’t see them close the application and load it back up again – they should be there until their own little tab. Let us know if you get anything, and I’ll buy and review as many as I can.
For everything PlayStation Mobile keep an eye on our tag page.
Thanks, PSNStores.

Pleasant Feeling Leg Massage?

“Hungry Giraffe” has been on PSN for a while now, as a mini. I wonder if they’ve somehow arranged for it to be updated into a PS Mobile title? Or will it be a separate purchase?
There’s quite a few minis it would be nice to see “evolve” into PS Mobile games, and be blessed with PSN high score tables, trophies, etc. — Wizorb, Velocity…
Don’t know if that’s even possible, though.
tonycawley
Pretty sure ps mobile games don’t come with trophies.
Kivi95
Not on launch but soon(Trophy support)
Colman
No? Oh, well.
Seems a bit silly for them not to, though. It means that the PS Mobile version of a game will always be missing something featured in the iOS and Steam versions.
If Sony are worried about trophy “deflation”, they could just make a rule that PS Mobile titles only get bronze and silver trophies. Or just bronze, I don’t care; I just like the way trophies/achievements can add to the experience of a game.
Erroneus
Looks like it’s not for everybody at the start, “only” USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan & Australia.
Kivi95
Well that sucks :(.
Erroneus
Yeah kinda, bit tired of being forgotten all the time by SCEE.

Blimey, I’m terrible at Super Crate Box all over again.

Minis and PS Mobile games are totally different and can’t be upgraded.

Thats great news, maybe it’ll start to reinstill the old developer mindset of getting games as close to perfect as they can before release.
cc_star
Newer HTC & Asus deviced are PlayStation Certified alongside Sony ones obviously not sure on others at the min

I have a OneX. Yet no PSM……does anyone on TSA know what I need to do to get it…?!

I was checking if my phone was covered and found this little guide, might be worth a try.

To be honest without trophies etc im as numb to these as i was towards minis…

Not sure if serious.

Just replied to you on Twitter about this. I’ll write here though for 2 reasons. 1 I can write a longer response. 2 hopefully invoke some discussion.
Different people play games for different reasons. some like to be competitive. Some like to use it to socialise. Some use it as catharsis. Some like to just enjoy the experience, and some like to collect trophies or achievements. I’m sure there are countless other reasons people play games as well, but the point is nobody is right and nobody is wrong. People have their opinions and reasons and we have to respect those.
What I do think though is that Sony are a little daft sometimes. They have to realise how popular trophies are, lots of people love them. To release a platform now without trophies will reduce sales, fact. There are tens, if not hundreds of thousands of PlayStation gamers who won’t play games that don’t have trophies.
You dont have to agree with their opinion, but you do hqve to respect it.
colmshan1990
That only works if they only started playing games before the relatively new addition of achievements and trophies.
They’re just an extra bonus, no more important to the core game than an alternate control method using the Move.
In fact, probably less important than that.

What Tony Said :)
I’m a bit disappointed no trophies so I bought every game that’s less than a pound till trophies get added
Alex C
Just to qualify.
I was genuinely asking if Mick was serious. There was no insult or disrespect intended.
colmshan1990
Anyway, I don’t have my Vita on me right now (currently my only chance to read The Casual Vacancy is on the train to and from college and I’m swamped with college work right now) but I’ll try and give a bunch of these a go tonight if I’m not completely exhausted when I return home as been happening quite a bit recently.
colmshan1990
Or not- I just found out this isn’t available in Ireland (we’re normally lumped in with the UK when it comes to PSN).
What a joke, what’s stopping them releasing here? There’s no difference between Ireland’s gaming landscape and the UKs!
TSBonyman
That’s disappointing, i was going to pick up Fuel Tiracas and Sliding Beats but i guess we’ll have to wait.. :(
RudeAwakening
Ah sure sony seems to forget about Ireland all the time, sure they still haven’t managed to give us the psn vid store!
Sympozium
I’m kind of hoping I have enough to spend after purchasing Sonic Adventure 2….(depending Scee doesn’t screw that up to or make people wait weeks)
Flick Hockey… Is that from Fullfat? and I’m still hoping for stuff like Game Dev Story.. or Dungeon Village they’d be great on Vita.
mcphatty
Well, seeing as its an enthusiastic TSA recommendation and I still have 48p left from the voucher I won ages ago, I suppose I’ll be getting Fuel Tiracas! I watched the ‘annoying teaser’ trailer too and it made me smile, those crazy guys.
