Podcast: Episode 78 – So Many Games and Kev’s Footlong

We’re back from the Eurogamer Expo in That London and we’ve got a lot to talk about. Kris had some sort of radio-related emergency so he couldn’t make the recording, which is a shame because he missed what was probably the most game-filled podcast we’ve ever done.

We talked about some of the big games that were at the show, including Hitman Absolution, Tomb Raider, Grid 2, Assassin’s Creed III and others but we also talked about some smaller games that made an appearance. Some of the Indie Arcade gems like Barabariball, Prison Architect and Don’t Starve got a mention, as did the upcoming PSN game called When Vikings Attack – which was excellent.

This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.

  1. GAMES?!!!111

    • Have you taken your medication today?

*prepares the straightjacket and padded cell just in case*

      • Mmm. Just surprised it wasn’t three and a half hours of wrestling and dinosaurs this week.

        I kid, of course.

    • Gaiiiimz!

  2. Peter – re: Assassin’s Creed III, assume it’s the bit indoors and the two guards are at a table looking over a map? You have to double kill from the ledge above. I did the same as you but the hint says to jump down onto them.

    • Yes, that’s the bit.

That was actually my first approach but it didn’t work. I tried it twice and I also tried sneaking down the stairs behind to double-stab them but it never registered properly. I think it was a janky early build though, teflon also had a bug in that room where the first guy you hide around the corner wasn’t present in the “hiding him around the corner” animation but instead stood on the walkway, wavering slightly, with a bloodstain on his chest.

      • Weird, I tried doing what you did, but then did it from a ledge on the right of then (with you started on the left) and they’re both highlighted so you can double kill. Probably not-finished bugs but it was possible to do.

  3. I quite liked ‘When Vikings Attack’ – Weird & Pointless for the most part, but pretty good fun!
