Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge Might Be Coming To PS3 and 360

It’s been almost a year since the release of Ninja Gaiden 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360. That game met with generally mixed reviews but the Wii U exclusive Razor’s Edge version of the game fared much better. Now, if Japanese online retailer (and owner of Rakuten is to be believed, there’s going to be a refreshed version coming soon to older home consoles.

They’ve listed the Razor’s Edge version of the game for PS3 on their website. Now, I don’t read Japanese and Google’s translate is, quite frankly, useless in this instance. But there it is, listed with the text “PS3” and “Xbox360” appearing in the description so.

This might just be overzealous listings from a retailer but it wouldn’t be beyond the realms of believability that Tecmo Koei would bring Razor’s Edge – which is essentially the original game and all add-on DLC gubbins – to those consoles with a much larger install base.

Series fans will remember the Sigma versions of previous games basically doing the same thing but in the absence of an official announcement, take this as conjecture for now.

  1. Always disappointed me that Ninja Gaiden 3 went for an easier approach. The charm of NG was how unforgiving it was.

Was the Wii U version more true to the originals?

  2. I don’t really like ‘Gardening’ games really… oh er erm it’s ‘Ninja “Gaiden” 3 Razor’s Edge’ Oooops, :D

  3. I always thought that they’d end up doing a Sigma 3… in a version for a Vita… and another version for Nintendos next Handheld (oh god…..)
