UK Games Charts: 25/02/13 – Crysis Sneaks Up On Revengeance

One sci-fi shooter topples another this week. Crysis 3 has, unsurprisingly, knocked Aliens: Colonial Marines from the top spot. The xenomorph-infested shooter drops all the way down to fifth position with an 84 per cent decline in sales.

Second place goes to everyone’s favourite bionic ninja and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, also a new release this week. In fact, new releases hold the first and second positions for the first time in 2013 but neither managed to outsell the opening weekend of Aliens or Dead Space 3, which is down in sixth.

Interestingly, Crysis sold most copies on the Xbox 360 (57 per cent), while Metal Gear Rising was more popular on PS3 (61 per cent). Digitally distributed software is not included in this chart.
