Konami have just uploaded an incredible nine minute trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It’s a bit gory at times and a big chunk of it is what we saw during Microsoft’s E3 conference but it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re a Metal Gear fan.
The game is now confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the originally announced PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. There’s no word on a release but I’d like to play this as soon as possible. By all means, Kojima, if you need time take it – make this even better than Metal Gear Solid 4.

Liquid was born in ’72 which would put him at about 12-13 around TPP. We’d need to hear his accent to know for sure but I’m guessing no.
Ocelot and “Liquid” are torturing Emmerich. If you pause just as the screen fades in, you see his robot legs.

That sounds very Liquid. Seems to be about the right age, has what are probably Jackal claws around his neck too and one of his quotes is about hunting Jackals in the Middle East. Liquid could definitely be Eli. There’s the whole Eli reference to Moby Dick too but I still have no idea how the whole Moby Dick thing influences the game.
