UK Games Charts: 05/08/13 – Minecraft Makes It Two Weeks At The Top

For the second week in a row the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft has taken top spot in the UK charts. The Last Of Us, which previously reigned for six weeks at number one during June and July, sits at number two. Animal Crossing: New Leaf climbs up to third, with FIFA 13 breaking into the top five. The Smurfs 2, which only released last week, debuts at number five.

The usual suspects of Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3, Black Ops II and Assassins Creed 3 complete the top 10. Pikmin 3 sales seem to have walked off a cliff with the game falling quite dramatically from 2nd to 15th in this week sales. New release The Sims 3: Island Paradise rounds of the top 20.

  1. Looking through that list it’s startling to see the number of games which come free with PS+ subscription. Amazing. Oh, and I’m having great fun in NFSMW through PS+, thank you to Sony!

  2. Wow, didn’t think Pikmin 3 would tank that quickly. Sounds like I will be able to get a cheap copy much earlier than I expected.

  3. A Sony IP is selling more than a Nintendo IP……….
