It’s time to dust off those shelf-dwelling handhelds as Sony announces big discounts across a selection of PSP/Vita titles.

With 14 games on the list we’d hardly call it extensive yet some of the reduced titles are among the best available on Sony’s portable hardware. These include the fabulous Thomas Was Alone (our review), as well as Final Fantasy Tactics and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, all of which are under a fiver.

  1. I’m considering Disgea 3 but not sure about if I’ll have time to play it with my massive backlog.

  2. Is Peace Walker the PSV version? If so, grabbing that.

    • Same question is MGS:Peace Walker(available in this SALE) the HD version or the PSP version ?

    • There is no psv version, it’s the psp one but it’s good graphics still on vita, just like the God of war psp quality on vita

      • What about the controls? Will I be able to use both analogue sticks in game? Sorry, if the question is stupid, never played a PSP game on PSV.

      • Yeh you can assign a second analog, just hold the screen till you get option to do so

      • The aiming maps well to the right analog stick. The PSP’s face button aiming worked really well so it actually feels alright on Vita, even though its not analog. For a PSP game, it’s incredible, very high production value!

    • There wasn’t a PSV version of the game to my knowledge. The PSP version will still work nicely on Vita, however.

  3. Not a bad sale but some of these games have been on sale half a dozen times now.

    • Yeah was looking at Guacamelee but it was on sale recently for exactly the same price.

  4. Possibly FF Tactics to add to my FF digital collection I think.

    I’d encourage anyone to buy Guacamelee, one of my favorite games in the past year or so!

  5. Only £2 saving on Guacamelee? Was hoping it would be more, guess I’ll wait.

    • Yup, I would have jumped on this if it was around 7-8€.
      Not because I think it is undervalued at 10€, but because I know I’m probably not going to play it in the near future anyways…

  6. I hope this isn’t a stupid question, is the discounted Thomas Was Alone cross-buy?

    • The game is cross-buy so I would assume so.
