Thomas Was Alone Creator Mike Bithell Reveals Volume

Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell has unveiled his new game, and it is called Volume. The soundtrack has been done by David Housden.

Volume will be a top down stealth game, where players will not be able to kill enemies. Instead players will have to use a tool called the Ricochet which has the ability to steal items and control enemies. The levels themselves will be player generated, though there will also be a story mode.

There will be a livestream of Volume tonight at 9PM so be sure to follow Mike on Twitter (@mikebithell) to get details on that. The game will also be playable at Eurogamer Expo. However story details won’t be announced until Gamecity Nottingham, and platforms for Volume are also being kept under wraps.

I’m looking forward to Volume and I hope it is just as good as Thomas Was Alone, which is easily one of my favourite recent titles.

  5. I’ll check out the video when i get home,TWA was great.

  6. Amazing simple mechanics, it looks fantastic! Very similar to the MGS VR missions, if that was deliberate then it’s a great choice of inspiration for a game based on user created content.
