Beyond: Two Souls Demo Dated For October 1st

Beyond: Two Souls, Quantic Dream’s next title, will be getting a demo and it will be available on PSN on October 1st, a week before the North American release of October 8th. Beyond: Two Souls launches in Europe on October 11th.

There are two parts to the demo with the first scenario being called Jodie & Aiden, which appears to be like a tutorial of sorts as Jodie completes a series of tests while under scientific investigation. The second part is called Hunted where, as you may guess, Jodie and Aiden are trying to escape from government agents. This part is set years after the first scenario.

There will be a way to access the demo on September 24th, but the details on that are being kept under wraps for now. You can read Jim’s impressions of Beyond: Two Souls from when he got his hands on here.

  1. Game looks fantastic. Can’t wait!

  2. I’m gonna be balls deep in GTA5 all the way until the PS4 comes out, so think this one is gonna end up neglected, which is a shame. Same goes for Arkham Origins, although that’s less of an issue having already played the others.

  3. Not too sure about this game so a demo will be good to help with the decision

  4. Day one. The 2nd contender for GOTY after TLOU.

  5. Probably my last game for PS3 before PS4 takes over a few weeks later. If i can manage it i’ll try and resist the demo so i can savour every bit of it – unless that September 24th access means early access for PS+ subscribers. :)

  6. Heavy Rain was fantastic and from the few clips I’ve seen, this looks like it will be just as good if not better. Think I’ll skip the demo to avoid spoiling anything but it’s a good idea for those people who are on the fence. I bought Heavy Rain because there was a demo on the PS store. I wouldn’t have looked twice at it otherwise.

  7. I read that it’s the wrong kind of game to demo, having such a large emphasis on the narrative, but I think that I’ll definitely give it a whirl before buying the full game.

  8. Have this on preorder based on the bits I’ve seen so far, but may try to avoid the demo to avoid spoiling the whole “new game” excitement. If the reviews arent that strong then I may give it a go if I can pull myself away from GTA5, Kingdom Hearts HD, Killzone Mercenaries and all the other games I have still to be finished. I don’t think I’ll be in any rush to buy the PS4….

  9. AFAIK the early access is a Game pre-order incentive.
