It’s eleven o’clock at night and I don’t have much to say about DriveClub. It’s a game about cars, coming to PlayStation 4 at launch and it looks quite good, despite my lack of love for racing games.
You’ll get a free version of the game for subscribing to PlayStation Plus, which lacks certain tracks and cars but still appears to have the full campaign and even the ability to gain a platinum trophy.

The driving looks good, cars and scenery look great, but I’m seriously disappointed with the trees. It’s like GT5 all over again, there are trees that are copy and pasted at the same bloody angle everywhere, many of the same type are the same size, only some are spun around but by the look of it its by an exact not-fooling-anybody 180 degrees. How much effort would it have been to make a few different looking trees of the same type?
Trees, computer game artists. Trees are what you need to do better this generation.

Didn’t they originally say there was only going to be an internal cockpit view? I’m hugely glad that that’s not the case as it was the only thing putting me off!

Looks… Alright I guess, but still dislike the intrusive friend pop-ups, in the lower centre, infact I hate them. Will see how I go with the P+ demo.

Looks tedious. How anyone can get excited about this game (from the developers that made Motorstorm no less) I have no idea.

Doesn’t look too bad. Hopefully it will be running at 60fps when it releases. At least its free, and i love racing games, so its worth a punt.

From what i’ve seen of the two, Forza 5 screams next-gen to me, unfortunately Drive Club doesn’t.
Hoping this changes, with hands on.
