Here Are Some Direct Feed 1080p DriveClub Videos

It’s eleven o’clock at night and I don’t have much to say about DriveClub. It’s a game about cars, coming to PlayStation 4 at launch and it looks quite good, despite my lack of love for racing games.

You’ll get a free version of the game for subscribing to PlayStation Plus, which lacks certain tracks and cars but still appears to have the full campaign and even the ability to gain a platinum trophy.

Anyway, Sony have released three shiny new videos below for you to watch with your eyeballs. They’re embedded below, but YouTube links are here: 1, 2, 3.

  1. Interiors seem a bit bit shabby, lovely lighting effects when it switched to third person though.

  2. I think pretty much every PS4 owner will play this game at some point, regardless of whether or not they’re into racing games.

  3. Looks rather nice to say it’s basically been compressed twice, look forward to getting my hands on it.

  4. I’m sure these are the same vids I watched on the DriveClub website yesterday, same cars and track. I wish they would show different tracks.

    • *Yesterday as in Wednesday, come to think of it could have been Tuesday.

    • Yeah, same track but different cars…

  5. Erm…they might like to add some body roll before launch. You know, if they want any sense of realism whatsoever.

  6. Loved the reflection of the dashboard showing up on the windscreen when the sun hit it. :-)

  7. The environment looks pretty and it seems to be running like silk. The cars need closer inspection but they seem well rendered and i’m a bit more interested in it now i’ve seen some better quality gameplay footage.

  8. It looks very pretty indeed, I can’t wait to see it on my big tv. I doubt I’ll get the retail version as I prefer Rally games but I’ll definitely put some time into the PS+ version.

    • I’ve just thought – they’ll probably have it at Eurogamer too…!

  9. I want an Aston Martin Vanquish…

  10. not sure if its the compression or what (not a vid buff) but it does seem to jerk a little, is it at 60fps or 30fps. Looks nice though, the reflection on the windscreen as the sun hits it is fantastic.

    • Game’s still running at 30Hz a moment, but 60 is still the target for release..
