Sony have confirmed to Eurogamer, at Eurogamer Expo no less, that there will be an official PS4 bundle including Killzone: Shadow Fall, the PS4 Camera and an additional DualShock 4 controller. And the price? Around the same as the £429 standard Xbox One package.
This bundle was previously leaked by Amazon France, and will be priced in Europe at €499, with Sony UK manager Fergal Gara telling Eurogamer that there will be a equivalent price in the UK:
“It’ll be similarly benchmarked in euro equivalent. PlayStation 4 is £349 and €399, so it will be the same equivalent.
“It will be no more than a tenner either way [of the Xbox One £429 UK price] depending on what conversation rate we use on the given day.”
That seems like a really great deal – buying all the items separately would cost over £500, so there’s around a £70 saving to be found with this bundle. And with the recently announced Kinect-like integration, the PS4 Camera seems more and more essential by the day.
We’re also assured that Sony will be bringing other bundles, including just the camera and controller, a lone copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall or Watch Dogs to the UK, too. While there’s no direct confirmation from Gara, he does state that “there are other bundles that also represent incredibly good value” to Eurogamer.
It also appears that you’ll be able to upgrade your pre-order to this mega bundle, with Gara stating “our retail partners are contacting their pre-order customers in order, so starting with the first, working up to when they run out of that special bundle, saying, we now have clarity on exactly what PlayStation 4 bundles we have to offer for day one. Would you like option A, B, C or D?”
So, if you’ve pre-ordered, expect an email soon. I for one will definitely be upgrading to this pack.

I contacted Gamestop to see about upgrading my preorder but they said they won’t know until next week which bundles they’ll have for definite. Hopefully i’ll have the choice.

I sure hope I can get my hands on one of these. Having that I canceled my February order and made a new one in early August. I will honestly never forgive myself if it turnes out that I missed out on this bundle because of that silly mistake. :/

I hope shopto have this bundle and other official bundles. I still have the standard PS4 pre-ordered with them as there current bundles aren’t worth it. I may have to cancel and pre-order from somewhere else and not get a day one console, to get a better deal. Wish I had picked Amazon or game now :(
I don’t know what has happened to shopto they used to be the cheapest now I find they are amongst the most expensive retailers.

Getting more tempted to get the PS4 earlier. Sony gives me a ps3 massive backlog with ps+ and epic PS4 deals. I need a lottery windfall to quit my job or a time machine to play more games!

ShopTo have said that people who have preordered KZ4 the camera & DS4 will take priority in the queue. I’m a bit miffed about that as I couldn’t find the camera on the site. Think it appeared just before e3 around the end of May. Placed my order on 24th Feb & will be very unhappy if I miss out on this :(

To me priority should be given based on when the console was ordered. Nothing else. People who ordered in February before price and release date were announced should be given 1st refusal.
Basically I preordered in February and I want the mega bundle! :)

I can tell you pre-orderd early as in, if you cut your first sentence short it says “To me priority should be given”.
I’m afraid that I disagree though… Sony’s priority should be to prioritise my need for a PS4 & personally deliver the console to me tonight!

At last, I have been waiting for this bundle in the uk once it was revealed last month on Amazon France, now just fingers crossed that Game will handle the pre order conversion to this bundle without any hassle.

I’ve just received an email from Game confirming I will receive my PS4 on launch day as it was order before 6th August and a member of Game staff will contact me via phone to confirm which bundle I want once they’ve confirmed the options with Sony.
