Royal Mail workers have voted to go on national 24-hour strike on 4th November. The vote, which was said to be 4-to-1 in favour of strike action, was held by the Communication Workers Union.
The small problem for gamers in the U.K. is that Call Of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th, and with a the strike lasting for twenty-four hours it’s highly probable that the action will run from midday on the 4th to midday on the 5th, causing maximum disruption and holding up mail deliveries for at least two days.
If a settlement can be reached before the date then the strike will be called off, although with the CWU asking for “a groundbreaking, long term, legally binding agreement that protects postal workers’ job security, pay and pensions,” I am not sure that will happen.

Anyone ordering from Shopto should be ok, I remember in the past when they successfully planned for and carried out contingency plans during the woeful wave of postie walkouts using an alternative mail route to get parcels in hands!
