Infinity Ward has announced details of the Perks system for Call of Duty: Ghosts, explaining how they will work, how to unlock them and some examples of the 35 perks that will be available to use to customise loadouts
In the loadout menus players will be allocated 8 points to use to spend on Perks, each of which have a cost of between 1 to 5 points. However, the amount of points available to spend can be increased to 12 if the decision is made to remove a piece of equipment, with each removal adding an extra point. If all equipment is removed then you would start a match with a knife and your equipped perks.
The Perks themselves are split into seven categories including Speed, Stealth, Handling, Resistance, Awareness, Equipment, and Elite. I’m looking forward to this, although Deadeye sounds massively overpowered if you get a big streak but at least it’s 5 points :/

Thinking exactly the same!
Ping sounds like it’ll be abused too, especially on the smaller maps…

True, although on a positive note it may mean that everyone isn’t running around with the same weapons. The removal of Stopping Power from recent CoDs just meant all the low-powered SMGs etc were useless and nobody used them, I mean why would you when there were some powerful weapons which had low recoil or decent range.
Really looking forward to this now, I’ve always liked IWs MP setup, I hope we can have individual killsteaks assigned to each class again.

Although there is Blind Eye to counter offensive killstreaks, I do hope there is something that counters UAVs etc…..nothing worse than wanting to remain totally undetectable but can’t. It was rather annoying in Blops2 that the higher-end UAV (can’t remember the name) could not be countered, and especially since the enemy could achieve these by using 3 standard UAVs at the same time!

What happened to the “Toughness” perk?!?! Seems to have been replaced… bummer!
