Call of Duty: Ghosts is going to sell lots and lots of copies. The PSN version has been available for a day already but it’s close enough to this week’s store update that I’m claiming it for this post. At least that gives me something a bit exciting to write about. It’s priced at £49.99, which is a bit more reasonable than many digital releases – like Battlefield 4 at £59.99, for example.
Also in this week’s update, we’re told (that’s a fancy new website, isn’t it?) there’s a bundle for Just Add Water’s Oddworld games that makes available the Oddboxx set of Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exxodus for both PS3 and Vita as well as Munch’s Oddysee and Strangers Wrath HD for PS3. The cost is a measly £15.99 and it’s something us Europeans are getting that those pesky North Americans are not – at least not until some publishing technicalities can be ironed out. So that makes up for our extra two week wait for PlayStation 4, right? Right?
Elsewhere, there’s Angry Birds Star Wars on PS3 and Vita, perfect if you’re a bit wrong in the head and have an urge to spend £29.99 (each, there’s no cross buy here) on what is essentially an iOS conversion. You can also get A-Men 2, that’s a sequel to a Vita launch title priced at £7.99 and we’ve got a review on the way soon.
Fans of Trucks and racing might be tempted by Truck Racer for the odd price point of £28.49 and if you’re still unsure about how to cope with the assured overrunning of civilisation by a zombie army, you’ll want to pick up How to Survive for £11.99.
We’ll update this post later if there’s anything else especially interesting when the blog post lists all of the content.

I’m hoping this Angry Birds release fails to sell a single copy, show the publisher that they can’t rip off console owners like this.

I’m with you there, that price is metal!! I was expecting £7.99. I think whichever management suit boardroom types decided on thirty squid might be a just a little bit out of touch with the industry.

People must be buying it as this isn’t the first angry bird compilation to be released at this price point. It is mental though.
Starman
Angry Birds Trilogy only has 24 ratings so I don’t think many have paid the crazy price for it. Compare to the relatively unknown Muramasa Rebirth which released the same day and has 310 ratings.

How to Survive looks fun but I’m not willing to take a chance for £11.99 so close to a new console and more games to get through.

looks like there’s a demo.
i’ll be giving it a try.

Oh cool thanks, I’ll try it too. Still, seems quite expensive for a PSN game.

Its OK guys, Angry Birds is only actually £24.99, not £29.99! MUCH better…
Youles
Phew, how it’ll only cost £49.98 to have it on PS3 AND Vita!
:/

Nothing for me as I’m keeping my pennies for PS4, and aye, the price of Angry Birds is mental.

Some good sale stuff. Blood Dragon & Vanquish stand out.
