LEGO The Hobbit Confirmed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed LEGO The Hobbit to be the next title in the popular LEGO videogame series.

The game will be based on the first two films of The Hobbit Trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the upcoming The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. You will visit locations found in the film including Mirkwood and Rivendell and, like previous games, there will be many characters to play, including all of the dwarves – (deep breath) – Thorin, Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori.

The game will be available in spring 2014 for – (deep breath again) – the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, Windows PC, Mac and probably the Breville VST027 2 Slice Sandwich Toaster as well.

  1. Yes! My Breville VST027 needed a new game.

  2. So will there be another game in 2015 for There and Back Again? It seems an odd way to do it all, 2 films in 1 game and then 1 film in 1 game (although it makes perfect sense I’m sure from Warner Bro’s accounting department).

    • Exactly what i was thinking tbh – Really don’t see the point in a 2 movie game. Wait until the 3rd part is out before you pop this on the shelves.

Harry potter was a different scenario as there was a lot of content, so it spanned two games. This? Not so much.

    • Maybe unlikely but they may do it as DLC?

  3. Sold!

Another winning combination. Lets hope they don’t get slack on their quality.

  4. god dang it, i only have the VST026.
damn this whole toaster upgrade cycle.

it was so much easier when you had a grill in your oven.

one grill to toast them all, one grill to heat them, one grill to bring them all, and in the darkness brown them.
    ^_^
    anyway.

despite how many games there have been over how many years, judging by the latest Lego game, the Marvel one, they’re still bloody good fun.
so i expect this one will follow that trend.

it’ll be interesting to see what abilities they give the different characters.

i was just thinking, i can’t wait to see the Lego version of the Balrog, but then i remembered it’s a Hobbit game. :(

maybe they’ll follow up the Hobbit game/s with some Lord Of The Rings games.
