Last week seems to have been a slight anomaly, as Call of Duty: Ghosts returns to the top of the UK charts, knocking FIFA 14 back down to second place. They both sit ahead of Battlefield 4, but it’s Killzone: Shadow Fall which, boosted by bundle sales, is the week’s highest new entry and also the best selling exclusive title.
The console launch halo might not last very long though, as Xbox One exclusives have all dropped out of the top 10 quite quickly. Forza Motorsport 5 is now 15th, Dead Rising 3 in 18th and Ryse: Son of Rome in 24th, so I’d expect to see something similar happen for Killzone.
Knack, on the other hand, didn’t even make it into the top 10, sitting in 13th place. It still managing to beat the newly released Super Mario 3D World on Wii U, which charted in 14th place. That’s certainly disappointing news for Nintendo and the Wii U, as it had released to critical acclaim.
Oh, and there was that thing about the PS4 now being the fastest selling console in UK history. How about that?

Knack had bad reviews but I don’t think it deserved it, I’ve been really enjoying it so far. In terms of difficulty, I’m on hard and nothings been too bad so far.
Nintendo really messed up the Mario release though. Bad day, same day as PS4 launch. Poor Wii U sales limited the audience (looks like the PS4 might have outsold the Wii U already), and no one will buy one when everyone wants the PS4 or Xbox One. Seriously, a month ago would have been so much better for Mario. They’re gonna have to be extremely aggressive with Mario Kart and Super Smash Brom now to have any chance.

I’m thinking of buying BF4 on the PS3 for Christmas. Seemed better and more suitable for me than CoD: Ghosts which I never thought I’d say on the consoles. Though countless people on the internet are insulting people who buy PS3/360 versions of BF4/CoD, I, unlike some, cannot possibly afford £400 for one game at the moment.
It’s a shame about Mario 3D world. Still, 14th place is decent considering the top 8 are mostly multi-platform/generation releases. As many have said, the Wii U may have limited it.

Good to see a PS exclusive near the top. Enjoying killzone but it’s my first FPS I’ve played and spend most of my time dead.

“Every title in the ‘All Formats’ Top 10 is on PS4 apart from Grand Theft Auto V and Batman: Arkham Origins”
Found this online at a few sites. Very lovely if you’re a PS4 fan. :-)

Shame about Mario, it easily deserves a top three. But that’s what poor system sales will do to you, and facing two new console launches isn’t easy.

Deservedly so, it might be an early example of a next-gen game but it set’s a visual marker for other’s to strive for .. although Infamous looks set to steal that crown.

Individual format charts have KZ:SF top.

So it was the best selling PS4 title, not just the best selling exclusive.

Good to see that all the PS4 games I’ll be getting soon/have got are all in the top 10.

Glad to see Ghosts at the top, really wish I could play it on next-gen! Does anyone know when the upgrade deal ends btw?

Oh, excellent. Might be starting to seriously getting a PS4 around then so that will be perfect!
