Originally known as Double Fine Adventure when its Kickstarter launched in 2012, Tim Schafer’s Broken Age has now been made available to buy for everyone and not just backers. It’s currently priced at £18.99 on Steam, with Act 1 available to play now while Act 2 will be released for free later this year. This also a version of the game available which includes a copy of the soundtrack for £22.99.
It’s the first proper adventure game from Tim Schafer in 16 years, and follows the lives of two teenagers, Vella Tartine and Shay Volta, who each must overcome their own struggles. The voice cast is very impressive including Jack Black, who worked with Double Fine before in Brutal Legend, Elijah Wood, Will Wheaton, Jennifer Hale and Pendleton Ward.
There was some situation about the review with Double Fine saying no early reviews during the backer release period, but later changed their minds after quite a lot of disagreement with that stance. We reviewed Broken Age Act 1 two weeks ago and awarded it an 8/10, stating that the game contained an excellent pair of narratives, but was a bit let down by how simple many of the puzzles where.

I can’t find any information confirming if this will be coming to PS4 :( the only snippet of info which has given me a bit of hope:
“Tim Schafaer, the founder of Double Fine and creator of many offbeat classics such as Psychonauts, said developers at Double Fine are messing around with a couple of PS4′s right now, checking out the system’s potential for future work. I think this is great news, now we can have super high definition point and click adventure games. You can really see the clicks.”
I really hope that they do a PS4 version, I just can’t bring myself to game on my PC after getting my consoles :( still got The Stanley Parable unplayed on my HDD /sigh

I’m with you, never could play a proper game on PC or Mac.
Actually I would be up for any point’n’clickage they could bring to the PS4.
