Thief has now gone gold and in celebration of that Eidos-Montreal has released a new six minute trailer showing the different approaches to tackling missions. It’s the latest look at the game with the last preview not really stealing the show. This one is a lot more violent though with many more looks at Garrett beating people up, or in one case setting a guard on fire.
The trailer explains that you can explore the City at your own pace, Â and that different characters will hire you to acquire goods for them. As well as that information Eidos has also detailed more of the game including being able to remove all HUDs to bring a better sense or immersion, and that you can initiate an Iron Man mode at any point in the game so that when you die it’s game over.
Thief is set to release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on February 28th.

That looks great! Sure, maybe not revolutionary but damn good fun nonetheless.

Agreed. I’m not normally a fan of stealth based games but I think this looks like it could be quite good fun … much like Dishonored was.

I was not looking forward to this game at all, as it seemed inferior to me to dishonored. (note: i have never played the original thief series).
But this trailer has spiked my interest in this game, i am cautiously optimistic, but will wait for the reviews to roll in.

It does look quite good now. I did lose interest in in Thief but now I’m back. I suppose that’s what that video was meant to do.
