Gamestop Matches PS4 Pricing, Get An Xbox One And Titanfall For £370

Following yesterday’s suprise price cut of the Xbox One, Gamestop have slashed the price even further to a staggering £369.97.

That is £60 off the launch price of the console and you get a copy of Titanfall and a month’s worth of Xbox Live to boot.

The price takes the console in line with PlayStation 4 Killzone Shadow Fall pack which Gamestop are also selling for £369.97, but at the moment they have no stock.

After a number of mishaps and problems, Microsoft are now in a position to challenge the PlayStation 4’s dominance. Will they succeed? Only time will tell.

UPDATE: PropelGamer.co.uk is has the pack for £365. Any other offers?

  1. Doesn’t the Killzone Bundle add in an extra controller (taking into account the Kinext vs PSEye thing) though? So even still the PS4 initial bundle is better value (plus you can trade in the KZ:SF, should you want to), and Sony aren;t taking a hit on the bottom line.

  2. i can’t believe with a small price drop and people are now wanting to get Xbones. have you people forgot about their past with stuff like “deal with it” to their own consumers.

also people are forgetting that Sony can and will price drop the PS4 to stay competitive. why would anyone want a Xbone anyway ? its inferior than PS4 in every way possible.

    • Some people just prefer the Microsoft brand, others have lots of friends who have Xbox Ones and want to play with them (early adopters who would have bought it, no matter what the expense).

Additionally there are some people who want both consoles so they can play all the games they possibly can, and the price drop will allow them to get Microsoft’s offering as well as Sony’s.

And yes Microsoft made mistakes before launch, but they do now seem to have addressed many of them, making it a much more appealing proposition.

  3. What I don’t really understand in all this is that neither of the two came out with system selling games. Imagine the XBone launched together with the next Halo and/or Gears of War. Imagine the PS4 launched together with the next Gran Turismo.
They wouldn’t even need to have it ready for launch, as they could have presented it with the machines giving a specific launch date of three months in. Of course, they couldn’t even cope with the demand the way they did launch, but do they, on the long run, really make more money out of GT6 with the huge install base of the PS3, instead of getting Polyphony really selling PS4s?

    • Ok, that was pretty nonsense, as production of the machines and distribution to the market is much to slow. So 3 months is by far too short. They chould have started teasing one of the big guns from the console launch on, to come to the market with a system seller maybe a year after launch. But maybe they will do, just were sure to sell all machines they had for the first couple of months anyway. Let’s wait what they will announce this spring/summer.
