The news from the Twittersphere is that HMV are to stop selling pre-owned games and have wiped a massive 70% off all their current stock on all formats, including next-gen titles.
Industry bod, Mike Adebajo, tweeted this a few moments ago:
HMV staff member told me, that they're stopping the pre-owned games service. So all stock must go asap. Hence the 70% off everything.

He had discovered the sale at the Oxford Street store in London and had purchased this lot for £80, saving himself a massive £191.
We suggest you head down to your nearest HMV, assuming there is one near you.

Went to HMV in the Mall Bristol – they didn’t seem to have anything in pre-owned on special at all. :(. On the plus side I went into Game and picked up the PS3 version of FFXIV:ARR for £8 – with a free upgrade to PS4 version being offered this is by far the cheapest way.

Went into my local HMV (Bury St Edmunds) and actually managed to pick up Ryse and COD Ghosts for just over £20. Productive day :)
