Some New Development Details Have Been Offered Up For The Witness

Jonathan Blow has released some updates in regards to development of The Witness, which will be releasing on PS4. The game itself is set on an island open to exploration with puzzles located all over the place to help decipher what events occurred there. It looks like quite the relaxing title that will also have you thinking about how to solve the puzzles that you come across. Jonathan Blow and the rest of the team at Thekla Inc are aiming for The Witness to be 1080p and running at 60fps when it launches.

Other details about the development include the fact that all the main path of the game is complete, though extras are still being created and put in. The team is also going over the map and texturing the areas that haven’t been quite finished yet, and is also working to stop any pop in when walking around the island. There’s also 1.2GB of audio files and that data currently takes up 40% of the total game data. In fact total game size for The Witness is 2.7GB and will be around that size when it launches.
