John Cena Reveals First Screen Of WWE 2K15, MyCareer Mode Also Confirmed

Current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, has taken to Twitter to reveal a first look at himself in the new generation version of WWE 2K14. In the picture he is staring down Randy Orton, though you can only see Orton’s left arm and a bit of his back.  It’s a very detailed screenshot and gives a glimpse of what to expect this year, but the real judgement comes when a gameplay trailer is released.

That’s not the only bit of WWE 2K15 news to be released today as in feature on IGN the story modes of the game were revealed. There are two with the first being 2K Showcase that will have players replay rivalries from WWE history, similar to WWE 2K14’s 30 Years Of Wrestlemania mode. The second story mode is something that will be familiar to those who have played the recent NBA 2K games, as a MyCareer mode is coming to the PS4 & Xbox One versions of WWE 2K15.

The MyCareer mode is sort of like a sports RPG in that a story is followed though you can have an impact on the decisions made, with skills being unlocked the better your created player gets. Personally I found them the best modes of the NBA games, so it’ll be very interesting to see how that format is transplanted to the WWE games. Another current generation exclusive is the Hulkamania Edition, which will net you an actual signed card from the wrestling legend as well as a piece of the ring canvas from the March 10th 2014 Raw show.

For actual Collector’s editions that’s a pretty amazing piece of memorabilia to have. The current US price is $99, so it’ll likely be quite similarly priced in the UK and Europe.
