2K Games has announced that WWE 2K15 has been delayed on the PS4 and Xbox One, with the new release date being November 18th in North America and November 21st internationally. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 dates remain unchanged, hitting store shelves on October 28th and the 31st for North America and international markets respectively. The delay has been brought about because more time is needed by the developer to ensure a better product.
Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts, had this to say.
“Visual Concepts and Yuke’s are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles. The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations.”
Recently the WWE was in a dispute over image rights for the wrestler CM Punk, and his inclusion in the game. The wrestler quit the franchise earlier this year but is still in the game, despite accusations royalties have not been paid to him. Those of you who pre-order WWE 2K15 will receive WCW legend Sting as a bonus.
