EA Sign New Deal With The Barclay’s Premier League To Make FIFA 15 More Authentic

EA has announced a new partnership with the Barclay’s Premier League that will allow FIFA 15 to give the most authentic experience of the league. First off all twenty stadiums of the league’s teams will be represented, so alongside the mainstays like Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge you’ll be able to play on the virtual pitches of Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park or Burnley FC’s Turf Moor.

In addition to the stadiums the game commentary, which I’ve always found to be the weak point of the franchise, is said to be much better. The crowd reactions and chants were recorded at twenty Premier League matches over last season, and will be used to give a better in game atmosphere. The games themselves will broadcast style overlays giving more in depth looks at player and team stats, fixtures, and formations. Goal line technology will also be making it’s debut so those debates about if the ball crossed the line can be settled once and for all. All Premier League player faces were also scanned into the game, for that much more realistic look.

FIFA 15 launches September 26th on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii, PS Vita, 3DS and PC.

  1. Now we really will be able to see if Lionel Messi can do it on a wet and windy, Tuesday night at the Britannia…

  2. It’s looking good. I think this will pretty much totally kill PES in UK now. I was hoping PES would make resurgence on new been.

  3. Nice like the fact that all the premier leauge stadiums are now in.

  4. After my frustrated in-game tantrums due to the poor player logic in FIFA14 I swore blind I wouldn’t buy FIFA15. I will resist.

    • Well I heard you can now play as Diablo FC.

  5. My wife got me FIFA 14 for my birthday. It’s the first FIFA I’ve owned in years and I have to say I’m really enjoying it. I really want FIFA 15 now…

  6. This is genuinely great.

  7. “In addition to the stadiums the game commentary, which I’ve always found to be the weak point of the franchise, is said to be much better.”

If thats the case i cant imagine what you must think of the PES commentary. A lot of it is rehashed from the PS2 days.

    • The PES commentary is atrocious. The best sports game commentary is in the NBA 2K franchise.

  8. This looks properly brilliant and I cannot wait.

It’s worth noting however, but my understanding is that the cool player scans and improved stadiums are only for the PS4 & XBoxONE versions. Could be wrong, and I know the trailer mentions PS3, but I think current gen only, which is fine by me.

  9. “The crowd reactions and chants were recorded at twenty Premier League matches over last season, and will be used to give a better in game atmosphere”

Uh oh. The chant “The referee’s a w***er!” will probably get this an 18 cert then. At least a 12A surely?

  10. I won’t be buying this. The handicapping they use in Ultimate Team makes a mockery of the whole game. Tactics, formations, chemistry and individual statistics all go out of the window when the game decides to screw you over. It’s a disgraceful con to get people to spend more money on packs. EA should be ashamed of conning people. I won’t spend another penny on this franchise.
