Resident Evil Revelations 2 Leaked By Xbox Website

Somewhere in the depths of Xbox.com, there exists a small image showing the possible box art for Biohazard Revelations 2. Biohazard is the name of Resident Evil in Japan, and Revelations is a spin-off which was originally a 3DS game before being ported up to consoles.

It was well received – there was certainly a more classic tone to proceedings than the likes of Resident Evil 5 or 6 – and despite being a 3DS port, actually looked alright. So, with a remake of the original Resident Evil coming for PS4 and Xbox One, could this be the game that PS3 and Xbox 360 is getting? And what’s this screenshot below, also seemingly found through Xbox.com.

The box art image in question shows the Xbox 360 logo at the top, so it’s likely to be a last generation title at the very release. Expect an imminent announcement, as the (very little) information points to this being legitimate.

  1. I want to be excited about this (really enjoyed the first one) but until proven otherwise I’m just going to assume that MS have paid for timed exclusivity on all the multiplat games this gen. Especially with this being discovered on xbox.com. They wanted Tomb Raider because Sony has Uncharted. Maybe they want RE because Sony has The Last of Us? Thank god Sony don’t have anything similar to Batman Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4 or Alien Isolation.

  2. Christ, it’s been ages since I played Resident Evil. Remember buying RE5 Gold Edition when the Move first came out but just ended up leaving it after two hours and haven’t returned since.

  3. Things like this dont accidentally leak. Its Microsoft playing the press for fools and getting free press.

    • Exactly. I expect they will lie again and try and imply that it’s exclusive.

I’ll laugh if it skips the wiiu.

      • Yes, because Microsoft spend millions on carefully planned launches and had a meeting and said “Hmm, lets announce this game with a tiny image and no information about the game at all.”

Besides it’s a Capcom game, not Microsoft, so nothing to do with them.

        So shush.

  4. Quite enjoyed revelations, though it was a little short compared to the numbered resi games.

  5. Looking forward to this, though I’m looking forward to the REmake even more.

  6. What is meant by “So, with a remake of the original Resident Evil coming for PS4 and Xbox One, could this be the game that PS3 and Xbox 360 is getting?”?

The remaster of the GameCube remake is also coming for PS3 and X360. In fact, the screenshots they released for the game was taken from the PS3 version.
