  1. Alien Isolation is well worth that price on PS4. Great game, just make sure you’ve watched the first two films first if you haven’t already. You can pick them up easily with the savings!

  2. I’ve got the Game but I’m probably going to get the season pass for Alien

    • Santa’s bringing me the game I believe, so like yourself I think I might pick up the Season Pass.

  3. I played Alien Isolation for the first time a couple days ago, it was alright at first. But then it turned into a “find the key to the door”-simulator of sorts. And the inability to pick up weapons left by enemies and the unscaleable waist high obstructions were annoying at times. The use of the cameras microphone was absolutely bull, as it’d just pick up the game itself and give away my position.

I’ll give it a second go at some point, but I’m not too enamoured by it.

    • Yeah the inability to jump over a 3ft barrier annoyed me as well.

  4. I have seen Alien for the same price in a box, so that would be my preference. However, I am under strict instructions that this close to Xmas no purchases are to be made. Which works out well as I am skint anyway.

I have to say as well that although the spelling of ‘Chrimbo’ would actually be technically correct, ‘Crimbo’ sits better with me for some reason. Weird huh?

  5. There is an option for Alien that you can play with the noise levels you make on. So if you get jumped by the alien and gasp, the Alien will catch you. Its innovative and something that is well suited to horror games.

I would recommend Isolation. If you liked/loved Outlast you will dig this. However if you don’t like games where patience and caution is rewarded, this ain’t for you.

    • Sounds good on paper, doesn’t work in practice unless you turn off sound or use a headset… And even then it’s probably shifty.

  6. Incredible game. It isn’t my overall game of the year but definitely my favourite gaming experience.

It’s exhilarating – like nothing I’ve ever played before. Absolute must buy at any price.
