PC Version Of Grand Theft Auto V Delayed Until March 24th, System Specs Detailed

Keep waiting.

Rockstar has announced it is pushing back the release date of Grand Theft Auto V from January 27th to March 24th, due to needing more time to polish the game up. It confirms the rumours that a delay was going to happen despite Rockstar saying it was still scheduled for January on the official forums. Obviously something changed in the days between that reconfirmation and today that meant Rockstar would not hit the 27th with a complete product.

As we head into 2015, we would like to share the first screens and system specs of Grand Theft Auto V for PC as well as a new release date of March 24, 2015.

Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.

Below you can check out the system specification requirments to see if your PC rig will be able to handle GTA V, as well as screens taken from the PC version of the game.

  1. Unlike some, im happy with the delay. Hopefully this means a better polish game. Not like gta iv. 65gig is alot lol

  2. Will be interesting to see how this compares to the PS4 version.
Toying between the two at the moment.

  3. I wonder what those extra gigs are? Languages, the culmination of various texture sizes, higher res textures than console? It’s certainly a lot.

  4. 2 months is a fairly hefty delay.
And 65GBis a mega hefty game! Wow.
    Looks really nice though.

  5. So single player dlc will no doubt be delayed too :-(
