Helldivers Brings Democracy To The Stars On March 4th

Helldivers has been on the horizon without a clear release date for a while now, but it’s finally here, with a release on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita now set for March 4th. I have to admit, I love the release date announcement trailer.

It’s got that Starship Troopers vibe to it (you know, from when it was kitschy fun, and not just straight to DVD rubbish), but also does an admirable job of showing you just what Helldivers and Arrowhead’s games are all about. You might be playing alongside your friends, but “friendly fire” is going to be pretty major cause of death, especially when you see some of the screen-wide bombardment attacks that are shown.

The best thing is that you’ll be able to play and “accidentally” kill all of your PlayStation owning friends, as this comes with both cross-buy, cross-save and cross-play, as confirmed in the EU PS Blog comments by Patrik Lasota, Designer at Arrowhead.

  1. Been looking forward to this for ages. Hope it turns out to be a belter. Co-op heaven, hopefully.

Top trailer! “Spread democracy!” *opens fire*

  2. Well, I watched the trailer and it looks great. Couldn’t hear it though as there is no sound coming out of my laptop. Only had it a few bloody months.

  3. This slipped past my radar somehow. Looks good.
Anyone know the price for the PS4 version?
