RIDE Now Delayed On PlayStation Formats

Two days ago it was confirmed that the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of RIDE had been delayed until mid-April . The PS3 and PS4 versions were unaffected and were on track for release today.

Whoops. Milestone have given no reason for the delay but I guess it makes sense to release all of the versions at once as it is only a few weeks to wait.

Oh, and in case you didn’t get the subheadline…

Fact of the Day #1: The song is called “Ride on Time” as that’s what Italian producer Daniele Davoli thought the vocal was. He sampled Loleatta Holloway’s 1980 disco hit “Love Sensation” and misheard the lyric “right on time”.

Fact of the Day #2: For legal reasons the song was re-recorded without Ms Holloway, the vocals resung by an uncredited Heather Small, her of “What have you done today, to make you feel proud?” fame.

Fact of the Day #3: Ride on Time is one of my all time favourite records. Well, the proper version with Lolly Holloway screaming her head off, Heather Small is a poor imitation.

Fact of the Day #4: All of the above facts are more interesting than a two week delay for a motorbike racing game.

  1. My cousin and I both purchased this today on ps4 :) so I dont know how its delayed

    • I’m guessing some stores didn’t get the memo.

      • I bought mine from ASDA and he bought his from GAME, plus Grainger Games had it in stock, lmao! Guessing no one got the memo!

    • I think it was guaranteed that the game went Gold and that the delay is likely down to a patch, a change of release strategy, or some tinkering with the servers.

      • It does sound like it might be due to a day one patch or something. I was surprised my copy didn’t need patching when I put the disc in!

  2. Got to get up got to get up

  3. Milestone are doing a great impression of someone that hasn’t got a clue what they’re doing.

  4. cant say i bothered to be fair.the demo was as hard as nails!

  5. If i was in the market for a motorbike racing game, i would probably wait the extra few weeks or so until Milestone have released both of their motorbike racing games.

  6. Ahhhhh, a real golden age of dance music. Just to reinforce that statement, after the Ride On Time video finished YouTube was kind enough to show me Snap – The Power. Ahhhhhh.

  7. Amazon just delivered my copy now!

  8. What a fucking palava, still downloading the demo to see if it meets with expectation!

    • it ain’t no *Hang On* matey…

    • Lol
It’s not bad actually, very do-able in terms of control….using the road marker line thingy until the tracks are learnt. I think that it plays better than Milestones other half/MotoGp in terms of bike control.
      Cool demo ;)

  9. I was playing it all last night, it’s brill. The only downside is the long loading times but the game is a lot of fun with an impressive amount of customisation.
So far I’d say it definitely fills that Tourist Trophy shaped hole in my gaming collection.
I haven’t tried online yet but it looks like you can form teams with your friends not unlike DriveClub, or a “RideClub” if you will…
If any TSAers want to team up my PSN is SuperJag86.

  10. I’m quite enjoying the demo, once you turn the physics up and lower the traction control, you can powerslide the ninja pretty well. Its a lot of fun and Im tempted to invest.
