It seems like the countdown to E3 is on! We’ve had Fallout 4, Uncharted remasters and a few other juicy leaks, all in the last few days. My excitement levels are definitely building, but I’m just hoping there aren’t too many more remastered announcements and we get some surprise new IPs.
Anyway, let me know if there’s anything in particular you’re looking forward to, as we start this week’s Community Round-Up!

Looking at the Meets, Monday will see the Project Cars meet, followed by Battlefield on Friday, with a few GTA V Heists meets thrown in also.
If you’d rather play something else, you can add your own Meet to the list, provided you have more than 250 TSA Points.

After last weeks abundance of reviews, it was far quieter this time. Our high scorer on a 7/10 was Magnetic: Cage Closed. Matt said it was very similar to Portal, with well designed puzzles and a ‘magnet gun’ which is used for several things. However, it’s short length and lack of any meaningful story means it pales in comparison to the revered first person puzzler. Our second review was for Magicka 2. Jim did find the game monotonous, hence it’s 6/10 score, but it’s co-op action and hilarious moments can make up for it.
Looking at the previews now, and all of them were from Stefan. He first went hands on with Rock Band 4 (and interviewed Product Manager Daniel Sussman), before taking a look at Skylanders Superchargers. Here, the addition of vehicles really mixes up the gameplay, and the same can be said for the asynchronous multiplayer in Blitzkrieg 3. Lastly, he popped his head into the virtual world and spoke to the folk at nDreams about The Assembly, their upcoming VR focused game.
Also this week, Tuffcub had the displeasure of playing, Wander, which he and Jim both described as possibly the worst game on PS4. Dom also looked at the rather unfinished Ultra Street Fighter IV, yet another game to launch with numerous problems. Meanwhile on Mobile Watch, Jim enjoyed Legend of Grimrock, which he calls “an absolute must” for classic RPG fans.
The Chronicle feature chatter regarding Need for Speed, VR Hardware and Sony’s lack of first party games in Hot Topics. For WeView this week, The Wolf Among Us received a Buy It verdict, though that seems to be out of reach for Far Cry 4 which looks destined for a sale it sticker.
To finish, Episode 181 of the podcast featured more comic chat than usual, and What We Played #206 showcased The Witcher, Destiny and Diablo.

The Forums have been exceptionally quiet this week, perhaps everyone’s enjoying the recent good weather? With that being the case, I thought I’d post a few threads which I think could do with updating!
- The Random Questions thread is ready for someone to respond to Mcphatty’s oddly detailed question
- And Carrot381 has posted a few videos of The Witcher, so check them out or maybe post some of your own videos in the promo thread
Well that’s it for this week. I’ll see you next time, when E3 will be just days away!

I was hoping Bunomike would leap on that question, it’s a bit embarrassing that it’s been left hanging, especially now you’ve pointed it out Gazza! Did you have a look at those thumb grips by the way?
I’m hoping for Battlefront gameplay and some positive Metal Gear hype next week, all this Konami drama has really overshadowed the run up to Phantom Pain.

I did thanks, I’ve got them bookmarked so I’ll grab them the next time I buy a game off amazon

Cool, they really do help, if anyone ever made a old Dualshock style stick tip I’d be all over them like a nasty rash, I don’t like the new sticks at all.

Totally agree, I immediately bought convex rubber mounts for the DS4 sticks to match the DS3’s thumbsticks superior feel and handling. The default DS4 concave stick top was affecting general abilty to play games with any hint of skill….that and the battery sappage hint to a re-design of the DS4 controller quicksharp!
