Bethesda has announced that Wolfenstein: The New Order’s standalone prequel, The Old Blood, will now get a physical release on PS4, PC & Xbox One in North America. Europe already received the boxed treatment when the content was released last month. North America still has about a six week wait until The Old Blood is released physically, with Bethesda setting the date as July 21st.
A price hasn’t been announced but it will likely fall around the $20 mark, and that will contain two extended missions set before the events of The New Order. The first part is called ‘Rudi Jäger & The Den of Wolves’ has BJ Blazkowicz break into Castle Wolfenstein to find information on the location of General Deathshead and his compound, all while trying to beat the crazed warden of the castle. The second part is called ‘The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs,’ whose story is centred around stopping the Nazis from finding an ancient treasure to use in the war.
