For years people have been wanting a remake of Final Fantasy VII, widely regarded as the best FF game, and now that remake has been confirmed at Sony’s E3 conference. There is no date yet but this is a full on remake and not just a HD remaster. Adam Boyes took great delight in announcing that the Final Fantasy VII remake will debuting on PlayStation 4. Of course other platforms will eventually get it, but who knows when that will be.
It is good to see that fan requests are being listened to, and can lead to something like this.

I’m so excited for this, having playing HUNDREDS of hours on the original when I was about 15 it will be great to see it so different, so many years on (17 to be exact).
I’m interested to see whether the voices they give the characters are similar to what I’ve imagined them to be.

If this does have modern day BS and is fully voice, Square can go drown themselves as it could ruin it. I hope the combat system will remain in tact and that everything from teh original is carried over.
