Watch 40 Minutes Of COD: Black Ops III Multiplayer Gameplay

It seems as though a number of YouTubers have managed to get their hands on a golden ticket to play Call of Duty: Black Ops III ahead of launch. Obviously, with the game due out in November, this isn’t the final build and restricts early users to online play only.

This particular video, uploaded by YouTuber user Drift0r, shows 40 minutes of back-to-back multiplayer carnage. However, as he briefly mentions, embargo restrictions meant he could only screen ten minutes from each of the four available maps.

We didn’t get time to watch the entire thing, yet it’s clear that Treyarch are trying to steer Black Ops in a new direction. Much like last year’s Advanced Warfare, there’s a focus on faster navigation thanks to the inclusion of jump boosts and wall-running. It also appears that sprinting directly into obstacles such as low walls will cause players to mount them automatically instead of demanding a button press.

The other major change here is the loadout system. Where recent instalments have allowed players to customise the equipment and looks of their own in-game avatar, Black Ops III will give you a list of pre-made characters. Each has their own personality and unique abilities that can be used in battle when pressing both shoulder buttons. This design choice is no doubt in response to the soaring popularity of MOBAs and their stable of pre-set characters.

Treyarch has confirmed that a Black Ops III beta is on the way for all  three launch platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

  1. Same same same same same. It’s the same. It’s the same. Same.

    • Totally agree. I bet there are still no dedicated servers despite them being promised for the last 2 games.

      • They do exist.

      • really?? could have sworn the game was still using peer to peer, it laways says finding host when i play??

      • Well yes, even if it’s on a dedicated server it’s still got to find the host surely?

In truth, it actually uses a mix of dedicated servers and peer to peer, it just depends on what is available and who else is connecting at the time.

  2. Looks far too quick for me. Almost like you may as well be running around playing ‘touchy’ or ‘you’re it’ whatever people call it nowadays.
