PS+ Vote To Play Feature Kicks Off On Thursday

As we saw in the initial leak of the Vote To Play feature, you’ll be able to choose from Armello, Grow Home, or Zombie Vikings for next month’s PlayStation Plus offerings, with votes starting at 4.30pm UK time this Thursday.

The game with the highest vote will become free to PlayStation Plus subscribers on September 1st, with the winner chosen on August 24th, while the other two games will also receive a PS+ discount when they launch on September 1st.

You’ll be able to find the voting section in the PlayStation Store, under What’s New, or in your Notifications on the PS4 menu if you’re a PS+ subscriber. You can also change your vote before August 24th if you change your mind.

Sony have reiterated that this won’t be a monthly feature – that it’ll come at “regular intervals throughout the year”. So, who are you going to pick? My vote’s going to Armello, though all three games look like decent picks.

  1. of the three, Armello looks most like something i’d want to get with my plus sub.

  2. Well, the one I would least want (i.e. not even bother downloading) would be Armello. So Armello will likely win.

  3. So far the results seem to have Grow Home quite a bit ahead of the others. And then Zombie Vikings is a little bit ahead of Armello.

Which is exactly the wrong way round. Is there some sort of error? How else would something that doesn’t look like they bothered finishing it be in the lead? Given how much people moan every month that the games look a bit crap?

This is why voting is a bad idea. Nobody ever does it right. ;)

    • I would rather have either game than Armello tbh (doesn’t look like my cup o’ tea at all), with Zombie Vikings being top of my list (Zombie Vikings > Grow Home > Armello).

But this is what happens when you let people have their say I suppose. At least the others will be reduced for those that want them.

The question is, as the games that don’t win will see a reduction in price, are they ever likely to appear on plus (i.e. a couple of months down the line), or is that it for them as they have in some way featured on plus?

Reduced for a bit, then that’s it?

  4. None of these games look particularly interesting to me but I’ll be willing to try which ever game wins. I’ve found some great games this way. Game’s I wouldn’t usually give a second glance but actually really enjoyed.
