The PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection update for October has been announced, with Broken Age and Super Meat Boy headlining in a month which will do little to silence the critics. The six games coming to the subscription service on October 6th are:
- Broken Age (PS4/PS Vita)
- Super Meat Boy (PS4/PS Vita)
- Unmechanical Extended (PS4/PS3)
- Kickbeat (PS Vita/PS3)
- Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita/PS3)
- Chariot (PS3)
However, what’s quite surprising to see is that the Driveclub PS Plus Edition is leaving the IGC alongside September’s offerings. It’s a little unexpected to see that happen just a few months after it finally appeared from the development hell that surrounded Driveclub’s initial launch. There’s still time to grab it before it goes, though, so make sure you do.

Half of this line up looks good and well worth checking out. I’m quite excited to give them a go. The other half, I have no idea, the total lack of information and enthusiasm from Sony regarding them is rather worrying. If they don’t have any belief in the games they’re giving subscribers then that’s not good.

Never managed to get passed the first boss level on Super Meatboy on the PC around 4-5 years ago when I last played it, 4-5 years ago, when it was first released. Is this an HD remaster of a 4-5 year old game or are we getting a retro, retro game due to the 20 year anniversary? Broken Age is ace though if you enjoy old skool point and click adventures which would mean you more than likely already have it, but in the event that you don’t it’s ace.

I actually spent a couple of hours playing broken age. I wish I hadn’t. Unmechanical was alright though. Quite disappointed that Xbox have had tomb raider and black flag. I would rather play through those games again than the tripe we are currently getting.
