Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six:Â Siege will have an open beta just that will end just a few days before its release. The open beta will be available to play from November 25th until November 29th on PS4, PC, and Xbox One, with an option to pre-load going live on November 23rd. If you played in the closed beta then you will gain access on November 24th. The developer has confirmed that any progression made in this beta will not carry over to the full release, with the purpose of the test to check the online infrastructure with a large player base.
The Siege open beta will include fourteen of the available Operators from the various special forces teams. The modes included will be Team Deathmatch – Secure Area, Team Deathmatch – Bomb, and Terrorist Hunt in which players work together to take down the White Mask terrorists. There will also be three maps to compete and co-op in with House, Hereford, and Kanal all making an appearance in both their night and day variations.
Rainbow Six: Siege will be releasing December 1st for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Let me get this straight… The ‘Beta’ ends on the 29th November and the full game launches on 1st December and “the purpose of the test to check the online infrastructure with a large player base”. Ubisoft would then have a couple of days to reconfigure their entire set of networks and servers in time for live.. Hmmm this sounds as well planned out as most projects I see being ‘planned’.
