Afro Samurai 2 Removed From Sale, Refunds Issued

General Manager of Versus Evil, Steve Escalante, has explained why their game Afro Samurai 2: The Revenge of Kuma has vanished from digital stores, and the reason is rather surprising.

“The game was a failure,” he explained. “We could not do, in good conscience, volume 2 and volume 3. So we’ve begun the process, it’s been a long process to figure it out because Sony has never really had to do this in this way, but we’re returning all the money. So across the board we’re putting out an apology saying ‘sorry about this.’”

The game launched with poor reviews for the first episode, “We pulled it down, because we didn’t want to exacerbate it anymore,” added Escalante.

It’s a bold move from Versus Evil, they could have left the game on sale and kept the cash, but have decided to put consumers first.

  1. Great move.

Now if I could just get my money back for my PS Vita, since that was also a failure, I’ll be a very happy boy!

    • OUCH!!!

    • I had fully given up on my Vita, but I just got a Nyko grip thingy after my mate kept banging on about it now I’m playing it all the time. They’re pretty steep at around £25 but TOTALLY worth it.
